What will our Strategic Sales Representative do?

  • Strategic Prospecting: The ability to search for referrals through existing connections to new prospects that fit the target buyer or ideal customer profile. The aptitude to go back to prospects that you have already had previous conversations and try to revive them. Another strategic prospecting activity is to ask for referrals from existing customers
  • Account Management: The ability to develop and execute Account-Based Sales plans for targeted accounts.  A TSR must have the ability to continue building and maintaining the relationship after the sale.  A master at managing and maintaining relationships so that a customer does not feel compelled to go to a competitor. Additionally, your customers can and will refer you to other customers.
  • Buyer and Seller Agreement: The ability to set mutual expectations and to make your prospects more comfortable, the ability to set the tone for all calls and meetings. Setting proper expectations at the beginning of the sales process that outline expectations for both sides
  • Qualification and Questioning (Needs Analysis): The SSR will need to start off every sales conversation by asking questions to analyze a prospect’s business needs.  The ability to delve deep to discover your prospect’s business pain and how your product can help them solve it by asking qualifying questions. The ability to qualify prospects for Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline, Competition and Buying Process in order to get all the key criteria in order to get to purchase.
  • Objection Management:  The TSR must have the ability to empathize, soften and ask good questions to understand what is genuinely at the core of what the prospect is concerned about. The TSR must be sincere and be able to understand the prospect’s problem, ask for more information, and offer clarity to help the prospect overcome their objection.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: The ability to work cross functionally with Marketing, Sales, Product and Customer Success to understand target markets, buyer personas, solution offerings and the competitive landscape to ensure that personal sales exceeds the company’s goals.  Able to train other sales representatives to achieve individual goals.

The right candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business preferred
  • Software Sales: 5-7 years’ experience
  • CRM (Salesforce or Hubspot) 3 -5 years’ experience
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Proven analytical skills, detail oriented and able to clearly and concisely manage expectations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge/experience with Interactive eCommerce sales and sales strategies
  • A Self-starter with strong design and conceptual skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Creative and pays close attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally, regionally and nationally to attend trade shows and visit with existing and potential clients.
  • Ability to self-direct.
  • Experience with third party marketplaces such as Amazon & Walmart (a plus)
